Mango Smoothie
Summer is almost over and few days still left before it’s the Fall Season. Time really moves fast, don’t it? Heading into Costco you can pick up the six pack boxes of mangoes. I know you can find them at Walmart as well. At Costco, I usually pick up a case of mangoes a week. And doing the smart thing I pick out the mangoes for my case so I know that I have good ones, not just blindly pick up a box and put in the shopping cart.
Mangoes are really good for you
- It’s a very healthy & tasty fruit.
- It’s loaded with fiber and does much to keep you feeling fuller.
- It’s a rich source of Potassium which is really good for your body in many ways .
- It’s really good for your skin and has a lot of anti-cancer properties. A friend of mine says she uses it on her face as a cleaner.
Making mango smoothies can be a good way to use up and consume a drink and a fruit at the same time. I’ve been making smoothies frequently with various variations. Often it’s my go to breakfast. It’s all up to your imagination for variation.
Recipe
1 Whole Mango peeled and cube
1/2 Cup of Greek Yogurt. I used Vanilla
1 & 1/2 Cup of Milk (use whatever kind you like).
A hint of Nutmeg (optional). I like to add Nutmeg to mine.
You can even add just a little Cinnamon if you want to as well, but that’s all up to you and your taste.
Put all in a Blender and blend. You can also try the smoothie with a whole Peach added in as an option with the Mango as well. A very healthy drink to be had. Have you had any Tropical Smoothies lately? What kind have you had?
